Frequently Asked Questions:

Got a Question for us on your mind? Check Here first to see If It has been Answered.

  • What is the Meaning Behind the Name T.B.D. Studio?: My Studio used to be called “Tanner Bowman Design”, but I felt that was lacking imagination and was too connected to my name. T.B.D. Is an Acronym for the olD name, but it also means To Be Determined - To signify the art which has yet to have been made as well as the determination it takes in order to be an artist and run a small business. Its a quick and easy way to sum up everYthing that my brand is about.

  • Can I Visit your studio?: My Studio is located within my home, as such, it is both my place of work as well as my safe space. You are more than allowed to ask for an invitation into the studio - I Occasionally Welcome guests into my space - however, please do not take it personally if that offer is not extended to you.

  • Do You take comissions?: Yes and No. Commissions are dependent on my schedule and work load. Feel free to reach out and ask, and I will let you know how open I currently am to make custom pieces. Also, please familiarize yourself with my work to make certain that your ideas are within my wheel house.

  • I purchased a lighter from one of the vending Machines and I Can not remove it, How do I get it out?: If you purchased a lighter from a Good Things vending machine, you received a Hot Mess Bic Lighter. These are not removable as they are glued directly to a bic lighter. They are meant to be a limited use item and are sold at a lower price for that reason. I Sell Hot Mess Lighter Sleeves in the Shop. This product is glued to a metal sleeve, which slides over a bic lighter and is removable. I apologize for any confusion or disappointment, but thank you very much for supporting my studio through good Things Vending.

  • How do I clean and Take Care of My Hot Mess Product?: All of the “Hot Mess” Product line is made using pigmented hot glue. Please make certain that you are keeping your product away from hot surfaces and out of direct sunlight to avoid melting and fading of pigment. If you have a Lamp, Make 100% sure that you are only using LED lightbulbs that emit no heat. Clean with a micro fiber rag and water. Hot Mess pieces may become more matte over time when handled due to the oils in your hands. For Archival pieces, handle with gloves.

  • Where Can I Buy Your Work in Person?:  Right now my work is currently for sale at these stores:

  • Can I work for your stuido?: Currently I am running the studio as a One man team. If that changes, so will the answer to this question.

  • How Much Wood Could a WoodChuck Chuck, If A Wood Chuck could Chuck wood?: Ask the woodChuck.
